High-Performance Carpet & Astro Pistons

Introducing our brand-new carpet, high-grip astro, and glued-surface-specific pistons. Developed and tested for over a year in a wide range of conditions, these pistons have been proven at both local club races and national-level events. With podium finishes across multiple classes at Hoosier INS, Island INS, RC One INS, Carpet Nationals, and the US Carpet Championships, they are both club and race tested.

What Makes Them Different?

These pistons were purpose-built for the demands of modern carpet racing.

• Precision Construction – At 2.95 mm thick, each piston is CNC-machined for consistent blow-by. This design improves takeoff, smooths landings—especially flat landings—and increases pack without sacrificing low-speed movement through holes and rebound ports.
• Rebound Flap Design – The fully enclosed rebound flap dramatically reduces leakage, eliminating the overly soft feeling in high-speed corners and stabilizing the car under variable throttle and heavy cornering loads.
• Performance You Can Feel – This design changes how the car responds across the track, producing faster lap times and a more consistent, predictable feel throughout the run. The pistons can be run with your standard oil weight/CST, or with 25–50 CST lighter oil to unlock additional steering response in and out of corners.
• 6 Dimple Design - With six dimples you can choose any combination of holes to create your unique performance at any track
• Versatile - These can be used in upside down shocks by inverting the piston. Machined to be used in either direction for the complete package.  

Options & Tuning

Each piston is available in four platform styles, with three flap stiffness options for precise tuning:

• Black – Stiffest, minimal rebound. Best for glued clay.
• Yellow – Medium rebound. Ideal for black carpet.
• White – Most rebound. Designed for turf and office carpet.

Platform Fitments:

• AE/TLR – 4x 2mm screws with .050 heads (precision fit for piston and flap).
• Schumacher – 4x Schumacher-specific 2.5mm screws.
• Xray (screw type) – 4x 2mm screws with .050 heads (compatible with Avid and AE shock shafts).
• Xray (e-clip type) – Precision-machined to fit the stock Xray e-clip setup.
